Power & Network

Power on the device and connect to its hotspot starting with “HA” from your phone/PC.

Network Setup

Open WiFi on your phone or PC and connect to the “HA-xxxx” hotspot (password 12345678). The device redirects to the setup portal automatically (if not, visit 192.168.4.1 in a browser), then join the device to the 2.4G network where the HA host resides.

Add the HA-ESPHome Integration

In Home Assistant go to Settings → Devices & Services → ESP integration; the device appears automatically (native platinum integration) — click Configure to add it. *The ESP integration only exposes 16 scenes, not all entities; MQTT setup is also required.

HA-MQTT Configuration

After adding the device in ESPHome, After adding the device in ESPHome, find the device IP under “Diagnostics”. Open IP:88 to configure the device’s MQTT. Once MQTT is configured on the device, open Home Assistant → Settings → Devices & Services → add the MQTT integration; after configuring MQTT, the device appears automatically. MQTT provides complete entities for 16 groups, 64 lights and 16 scenes.

Create Scene Automations

Add light cards on the HA dashboard and create automations such as scene switching, scheduled dimming and sensor linkage.

Device Reset

The device has a retry mechanism: if it cannot reconnect to its configured network for about 2–3 minutes, it resets automatically. You can also reset it via the RESET button in the HA backend.

⚠️ Wiring Tips: Use RVV 2×0.75 or better for DALI signal lines; network cable is not a substitute. Wire DALI signals in a daisy-chain (series) topology and avoid star/multi-node wiring. DA1 corresponds to DA+, DA2 to DA-.
